Literature Text

If absence makes the heart grow fonder,
distance makes the soul up and wander.
With miles between us and your voice in my head,
I can't talk back so I listen instead.
An empty lonely bed makes me cold before I sleep,
no one to hold me close, no where to wrap my feet.
Insomnia embraces me where your arms should hold me tight,
I up and leave my bed, too lazy to fight.
When morning comes it brings with it distraction,
out of the house is social interaction.
But on my mind you play looking for affection,
I can't help my soul wandering in your direction.
Being alone makes me sad and I try not to ponder,
being with you now would make my heart grow fonder.
There's too many bloody categories for poems now, especially as I have no clue about different styles and structures... I just write stuff.

This is for ~in-a-reverie whom I miss dearly whilst she is doing her exams. Based on the adage 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'.
